Loose Jumping Qualifiers

Ensuring Ponies are in Your Registered Name

All ponies entered for the show must be correctly registered in the exhibitor’s name prior to entry. It is the responsibility of each competitor to ensure that ownership details recorded with the Connemara Pony Breeders' Society are fully up to date before submitting entries. If a pony is not registered in the exhibitor’s name at the time of entry, the exhibitor will be contacted by the Show Committee and given a specified date by which the transfer of ownership must be completed. Failure to complete the transfer within the allocated timeframe may result in the entry being deemed invalid. Loose Jumping Qualifier - Duffy's Equestrian Centre 1st July 2026Loose Jumping Qualifier 📍 Duffy’s Equestrian Centre 📅 Wednesday, 1st July 2026 ⏰ Time TBC — evening start 💶 Entry fee: €25 15 ponies will qualify from this qualifier, with a further 15 qualifying from the Midlands Connemara Pony Show in Mullingar. Entries for Mullingar can also be made through their ItsPlainSailing page for €25. Qualified ponies will go forward to the Loose Jumping Final in Clifden on Tuesday, 18th August 2026. Loose Jumping Qualifier 📍 Duffy’s Equestrian Centre 📅 Wednesday, 1st July 2026 ⏰ Time TBC — evening start 💶 Entry fee: €25 15 ponies will qualify from this qualifier, with a further 15 qualifying from the Midlands Connemara Pony Show in Mullingar. Wednesday 19th of August - Inhand ClassesTraditional Inhand classes. The Connemara Pony In-Hand Classes will take place on Wednesday 19th August across Ring One and Ring Two, beginning at approximately 8:30am and 9:00am respectively. The schedule showcases a comprehensive selection of classes for Registered Connemara Ponies, including foals, yearlings, youngstock, mares, geldings, stallions, and young handlers. Classes are open to ponies that are the progeny of Registered Connemara Ponies and Registered Connemara Stallions. Click link on right to submit an application.

Wednesday 19th of August - Inhand Classes

Traditional Inhand classes. The Connemara Pony In-Hand Classes will take place on Wednesday 19th August across Ring One and Ring Two, beginning at approximately 8:30am and 9:00am respectively. The schedule showcases a comprehensive selection of classes for Registered Connemara Ponies, including foals, yearlings, youngstock, mares, geldings, stallions, and young handlers. Classes are open to ponies that are the progeny of Registered Connemara Ponies and Registered Connemara Stallions. Click link below to submit an application.

This section features a wide range of ridden and working hunter classes for Registered Connemara Ponies, catering for riders of all ages and experience levels, including lead rein, side saddle, stallion, family working hunter, and the Irish Connemara Green Hunter Final. All riders must adhere to strict safety regulations regarding approved riding helmets and correct tack. CAP OF 28 PONIES IN RIDDEN CLASS. Note: some activities for this event are already full.

About Us

As you may or may not know a Board of Trustees have taken over the running of the Connemara Pony show that takes place in Clifden every year. It is now known as the “Connemara Pony Show – Clifden”, the main aim of all of this is to make sure the Connemara Pony Show runs to an excellent standard in the town of Clifden. The show dates are 18th to the 21st of August 2026.
