Founded by Sir John Power Bt. in 1797, the Kilkenny Hunt is one of the oldest hunt clubs in the world. Hunting in season is November to March on Tuesdays & Saturdays @ 11am. Visitors welcome but prior contact must be made with the Hon. Secretary Ms. L. Dempsey on 086 102 5138. The club runs fundraisers throughout the year from parties to sponsored rides, hunt canters and other social events. Sponsored Ride at Seven Houses
The Kilkenny Hunt are bringing back the popular Sponsored Ride at Seven Houses, Kilkenny. The route will be sign posted and all jumps are fully optional. The event starts at noon on Sunday 12th October 2025 and the last house must be out by 2pm. There will also be a Lead rein course in first field. Any queries please contact kkfoxhounds@gmail.com.
